Pat Beeman and her husband Don left the San Fernando Valley to retire in Ventura.  A former healthcare worker, Pat needed a kidney transplant after being diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease.  Pat received her "Gift of Life" at St. Vincent's Hospital in Los Angeles in September, 1990.  Pat and Don are active members in TRIO and regular attendees at the Saturday Morning Breakfast meetings.

Al Boniface is a long-time caregiver to TRIO, lending his business and accounting background to the organization.  Al's wife, Marian, one of the founding members of Ventura County/West Valley TRIO, was also a UCLA liver transplant patient.  Sadly, we lost this wonderful lady to cancer.

Ray Cogswell, received his Gift of Life on December 28th, 1999 at UCLA after suffering from PSC for many years.  Ray and his wife Elsie moved to Camarillo after he retired from the County of Orange.  He has two sons. Ray has been a member of TRIO since 1999.

Jackie Colleran, wife, mother of three (four if you count Jack), grandmother of six (seven if you count Bubba) received her "Gift of Life" at UCLA in 1997 after falling into a coma from Fulminating Liver Disease.  With her husband, Jack, Jackie has been involved with TRIO since 1998  actively organizing public awareness events and participating in a Liver Transplant Support group at UCLA.  Jackie was seen nationally in the summer of 2004 on the CBS' Morning Show, where she was surprised with an introduction to her donor family.

George Miller along with his wife, Lucille, hosts a monthly Saturday morning breakfast meeting for transplant patients living in the coastal Ventura county areas.  George also works with area hospitals and churches in organizing public awareness events for the need of organ donors.  Having received his "Gift of Life" at UCLA in 1998, we think that Lucille has done an excellent job of surviving George's transplant.

Glenda Rosenbloom and her husband, Alan, live in Woodland Hills with their dog, Charlie.  Glenda received a liver transplant at The Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ in March, 2001.  Glenda spent 22 months on the transplant list after suffering from Primary Biliary Cirrhosis, a rare autoimmune disease.  Glenda is also involved with a national PBC (Primary Biliary Colongitis) patient support group.

Penny Strowger, who was one of only four people to attend the very first TRIO meeting in Westlake Village, was diagnosed with polycystic kidney and liver disease at age 30. At that time it was considered to be a fatal illness. Still Penny continued on in management positions for a large financial company for another 19 years before she received her initial multiple organ transplant in 1994.  In addition to remaining active in organ transplant advocacy, Penny volunteers in several other community organizations.
